How does the countdown work when only a date or a range is announced?

The page is only as precise as the announcement:

  • If a date range is announced, the countdown runs to its start and the full range is shown too.
  • If the announcement only says a reset is coming, the page shows "Soon".
  • With no announcement, the home page shows how many days it's been since the last reset.

What is a banked reset, and how is it different from a regular usage reset?

A banked reset is an extra, separate allowance OpenAI grants on its own initiative. It doesn't affect how your regular usage is counted.
